Coastal Flood Advisory until 07:00AM Friday

Persistent moderate to strong north to northeast wind over the coastal waters during the past 24 hours has contributed to elevated water levels. Water levels are expected to exceed 2 feet mean sea level tonight through early Friday morning, primarily near the times of high tide. As a result, minor coastal flooding along the Middle Texas Gulf coast, the bays and along the intracoastal waterways is anticipated. The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory, which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 7 AM CDT Friday.

* COASTAL FLOODING...Tide levels are expected to range between 2.0 and 2.5 feet above mean sea level tonight through early Friday morning, primarily near the times of high tide. The next astronomical high tide at Port Aransas will occur at 146 AM CDT Friday. High tide at Bob Hall Pier will occur at 122 AM Friday. The next high tide at Port O'Connor will occur at 559 AM Friday. Minor coastal flooding may occur along the barrier islands, the intracoastal waterways, and along the bay waters, between Baffin Bay and the Matagorda Ship Channel.

* TIMING...Tonight through early Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...Driving conditions may be adversely impacted. Some beach access roads may become impassible.
