Beginning Friday, October 19th at 7:30 a.m., final asphalt pavement top will be placed in driveways on all streets within this project. Access to each driveway will be blocked for approximately two hours while paving is in progress and to allow asphalt to cure.

Also on Friday, October 19th, a leak detetection company will be looking for a watermain leak on Delaware Avenue that will be followed by a repair requiring the watermain shutdown to repair the leak.  A followup notification will be sent with more specific details of the scheduled repair.

Weather permitting, beginning next Wednesday, October 24th at 7:30 a.m., street paving will begin and will continue several days until all layers of asphalt are placed.  This will require several detours around the neighborhood so please observe all signage and flaggers.

Unrelated to the Fair St Neighborhood project, a crew will be applying a surface treatment to Frederick St and Sand St on Friday, October 19th. Work will begin around 9:00 a.m. and should be complete within a few hours. During this work, these streets will be closed to traffic, and reopened shortly after completion.

Finally, time permitting on the afternoon of Friday, October 19th, a crew will be applying a paver-placed asphalt pavement patch on portions of Main St, from Otsego St heading east. Flaggers will maintain one-lane traffic during this operation, which is expected to be completed within a few hours.
