Deputy Jason Cook of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged a 17-year-old student with possession of marijuana on school grounds.
                On the afternoon of Wednesday, Oct. 3, Cook and Sgt. Greg Stevenson used K-9 Jaz to conduct a drug sniff of random vehicles in the parking lot of McDowell High School.
                Jaz alerted to a car being driven by the student. Inside the trunk, authorities located 11.1 grams of marijuana.
