28 Suspects Arrested Today From Sheriff Victor Hill’s Joint Operation “Knight Of The Dark”
Today, Morrow PD, Jonesboro PD, & Clayton County Police joined forces with the Sheriff’s Office to execute operation “Knight Of The Dark”. 28 suspects with outstanding warrants were arrested in this operation to make the streets of Clayton County safer.
Out of the 28 arrested, Michael Rodriguez and his girlfriend Joi German were both very adamant about Rodriguez not going back to the “Hill-ton” to face wall. When Officers and Sheriff’s Deputies went to an address on Ashfield Ln. in Lovejoy to serve a warrant on Rodriguez for Violation of Probation, German lied to Deputies and told them Rodriguez was not there.
Meanwhile Rodriguez stuck his head out of the 2nd floor window in the rear of the house. When ordered by Sheriff’s Deputies to remain where he was, he fled back into the residence. Rodriguez began yelling “you don’t have a search warrant” showing off his prowess of legal knowledge. As Sheriff’s Deputies made entry in the front door, Rodriguez jumped out of the 2nd floor window onto the roof of a storage unit. Rodriguez rolled off onto the ground and fled on foot, ignoring the commands to stop.
A short foot pursuit resulted in the capture of Rodriguez. Sheriff’s Deputies also took his girlfriend into custody as well so that Rodriguez would not have to enjoy his stay at the “Hill-ton” alone. Both of them are now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail.
