Advisory

PG&E

Alameda County is being monitored as an area of POTENTIAL PG&E shutoff due to the weather concerns of extreme fire danger.

In response to evolving weather and potential extreme fire danger, PG&E may proactively shut off power for safety to some customers. We will have greater details on which portions of the county might be impacted as we get further weather reports from our meteorology team.
PG&E could take the action of turning off the power as early as overnight Saturday into early Sunday morning. The greater likelihood is potentially turning off the power in advance of Sunday evening wind event and are contacting customers directly and providing early warning notification, when and where possible, via automated calls, texts, and emails.
PG&E will continue to coordinate with local authorities and provide additional updates through social media, local news, radio, and the pge.com website.
They know how much customers rely on electric service and would only consider temporarily turning off power in the interest of safety, and as a last resort during extreme weather conditions.
We encourage you to take steps now to prepare your families, homes and businesses for the growing threat of extreme weather and the threat of wildfires.
