* Until 830 PM EDT Saturday
* At 822 PM EDT, emergency management officials and river gauges reported flooding in central Davidson county along Abbotts Creek and surrounding creeks. While no additional rain is expected, water levels will remain high tonight into Saturday, causing flooding in and around Abbotts Creek and surrounding creeks.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lexington, Linwood, and Gordontown.
* AFFECTED AREAS: DAVIDSON, NC
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground.
