Engagement ring stolen - Can you identify?

On Saturday, October 6th, 2018, an employee of the Jack in the Box restaurant located at 699 Lewelling Blvd., had her backpack stolen, which contained her diamond engagement ring.

The victim, an 18-year-old Hayward resident stated that she accidentally left her backpack in the dining area of the fast food restaurant just before the start of her shift. Minutes later, the victim realized she had forgotten her backpack and upon returning to the dining room, it was gone.

The employee checked the restaurant's video camera system and saw that a black female adult entered the restaurant and located the unattended backpack. Moments later, the woman conceals the backpack and exits the restaurant stealing the employee's bag.

The victim stated that in addition to the diamond engagement ring,  the backpack contained cash, her identification, and a second gold ring.
