The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for portions of Georgia, including Clayton County and all of its cities.
Michael is now a very dangerous high-end Category 4 hurricane with max sustained winds of 150mph.
Immediate concerns: Significant wind and rain impacts, as well as tornado threat, especially in central Georgia. The highest wind impacts will occur overnight, so many trees will be falling in the dark Widespread tree and power line damage with numerous power outages is expected for the majority of the state.
Clayton County may not be in the Tropical Storm or Hurricane Warning area, but this does not mean we will be clear from high winds, possible tornadoes, or flooding events. Please see the attached images for further details.
Be aware that Henry and Spalding Counties were just placed under a Tornado Watch.
