Incident: Arrest for Illegal firearm and high capacity magazine possession

Location of Incident: 1700 Powell Street Emeryville, CA

Arrested: Dajon Ford (male, 22 year old resident of Oakland)

Synopsis:
On October 10th, 2018 at 12:51am an Emeryville police officer was patrolling in an area where burglaries had been previously reported. The officer conducted an investigative stop on a subject seen exiting a car at 1700 Powell Street. Through his investigation the officer learned that the driver, later identified as Dajon Ford, was unlicensed and on probation. During a search of Ford’s car the officer found a sawed-off rifle loaded with multiple extended magazines. Ford was arrested for multiple firearms violations and for violating his probation.
