Sheriff's Office investigating a suspected human skull found in the area of Bristol Sports Arena, Hilton Head Island. 
The Sheriff's Office is investigating a skull—suspected to be human—discovered yesterday morning in the area of Bristol Sports Arena on Hilton Head Island. The skull was found on top of some pine straw in a landscaped area near the bathrooms at the arena.
The origin of the skull and whether it is related to any active missing person or other Sheriff's Office investigation is unknown at this time. The skull will be examined by a forensic anthropologist and subjected to DNA analysis to aid in those determinations. The area was and is being searched for additional remains and/or evidence.
