Tomorrow (10/9) morning at 5:00 a.m. the newly relocated entrance to the BART parking garage on Stoneridge Mall Rd will open. This new entrance location is on the west side of the current parking garage and just east of 6000 Stoneridge Mall Rd.
Drivers will enter the garage at the new 4-way stop sign intersection near 6000 Stoneridge Mall Rd. Similarly, pedestrians will cross using the newly relocated crosswalk in the new intersection. As construction in the immediate area winds down, the temporary 4-way stop signs will be replaced with a permanent 4-way signaled intersection, expected in March of 2019.
Due to the anticipated impact this change will have to traffic in the area, traffic control officers will be in the area to assist with arriving motorists. Please plan for extra time when driving through the area, as traffic delays are expected during this transition.
