This morning, around 4:50 a.m., San Mateo Police responded to a business on the 1800 block of S Norfolk Street on a report of a possible in-progress robbery. The caller told our dispatchers he was tased and hit his head after three armed subjects forced their way into the secured business. We immediately responded, set a perimeter on the business, and asked residents in the surrounding area to shelter in place as officers searched for the suspects. Offices quickly determined the suspects fled the scene prior to our arrival and the shelter in place was lifted.

San Mateo Police Investigators responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Right now, detectives are reviewing possible surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses.
