Dense Fog Advisory until 10:00AM

Moist easterly flow has produced fog across much of metropolitan Charlotte and its suburbs. In some areas visibility will remain below a quarter mile until mid-morning. The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM EDT this morning.

* LOCATIONS...the greater Charlotte area, including Salisbury, Lincolnton, Gastonia, Monroe, Rock Hill, and Chester.

* IMPACTS...Limited visibilities will make travel difficult.

* VISIBILITY...Less than a mile, with some areas experiencing values of a quarter mile or less.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MECKLENBURG ... CABARRUS ... CHESTER ... LINCOLN ... UNION ... YORK ... ROWAN ... GASTON

Instructions:

A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down... use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
