A single vehicle fatal traffic collision occurred at Mariposa Road and Nisqualli Road

SUMMARY:
On Friday, October 5, 2018, at approximately 4:52 pm, deputies from the Victorville Station, rescue personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department and American Medical Response, responded to a single vehicle traffic collision near the intersection of Mariposa Road and Nisqualli Road in the City of Victorville. Through investigation, deputies determined that a black Chevrolet passenger vehicle was driving south on Mariposa Road. For an unknown reason, the car went off the road and came to rest in the wash north of the intersection.
The driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
Deputies are investigating the cause of the collision. A lane of Mariposa Road north of Nisqualli Road was closed for several hours for the investigation.
