Seeking the Public's Assistance to Identify Robbery Suspect

On October 5, 2018, at 4:45 pm, Novato Police Officers were alerted to a robbery which had just occurred at the US Bank located at 1711 Grant Ave. Once on scene, officers learned that the suspect walked into the US Bank wearing a teal baseball hat, blue and white striped zip-up sweatshirt, and black backpack. He passed a note demanding money from the bank teller, causing the teller to fear for their safety. No weapon was mentioned or seen. The suspect fled on foot toward the Novato Library and was last seen driving, a blue Chevrolet sedan, south on Tamalpais Avenue. No one was injured in this incident. After an extensive search of the area by multiple officers, the suspect was not located.

The suspect was described as a white male adult, approximately 18-22 years old, thin to average build and approximately 5’7” to 5’10” in height. He was last seen driving a newer model, compact, blue Chevrolet sedan.
