Week of October 8:
-Continue full depth reconstruction.
-Continue driveway apron replacements.
-Continue pouring new curb and handicap ramps.
-install storm sewer pipe and catch basin
-Full depth reconstruction to begin in front of the businesses on the Pike.
-There will be no parking on the Pike in that area
Week of October 15:
-Asphalt paving of the reconstructed areas
-Replace concrete sidewalk panels in front of businesses
-finish any remaining concrete work in the north bound curb lane.
Week of October 22
-Begin street tree removal on the Pike (trees with pink ribbons will be removed)
- There are 37 street trees marked to be removed along Springfield Pike. These trees are to be removed because they: 1. Are in the existing curb line and will not survive the project; 2. Are in bad health, and/or 3: are pear trees (which are unstable and invasive). As a matter of perspective, there are a total of 269 street trees on Springfield Pike.
- Begin saw cutting the south bound curb lane, plan to start from Jewett and work south.
