Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department West Hollywood Station Detectives are investigating the circumstances of a traffic collision where four pedestrians were struck in the 8900 block of Sunset Boulevard.
On Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at approximately 2350 hours, deputies from West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a vehicle collision on the 8900 block of Sunset Boulevard in the city of West Hollywood.
The preliminary facts of the investigation indicate that a Volkswagen Jetta driven by Brandon Baker-Grey was traveling northbound on San Vicente Boulevard at a high rate of speed when he attempted to turn westbound onto Sunset Boulevard. He lost control of the vehicle and drove onto the sidewalk into a crowd of nightclub patrons. Several pedestrians were struck, four were injured, and three were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Deputies arrested the driver for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverage. The collision is under investigation by the West Hollywood Sheriff’ Station Traffic Division
