Detective Patrick Guion of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Elijah Thaddeus Edgerton, 30, of Forest City, with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana.
                On the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept. 4, Guion stopped Edgerton’s BMW on U.S. 221 South for traffic violations. Deputy Steven McPeters and his K-9, Kessy, walked the outside of the BMW, and Kessy alerted.
                A subsequent search of the car turned up 248 grams of marijuana.
