Tornado Watch in Effect for Bergen County Until Midnight
A tornado watch is in effect for New Jersey until midnight, according to the National Weather Service.
The watch effects Bergen, Essex, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Warren counties. It comes as strong storms are expected to come through the state Tuesday evening.
The storms are expected to last through the evening and nighttime hours, particularly in the northern portion of the state. Storms could bring over an inch of rain and may see damaging wind gusts. They could also produce a lot of lighting.
