The Manhattan Beach Police Department has several events coming up this week.  Join us for Coffee with a Cop on Wednesday morning (7:30 - 10:00 AM), Strategic Plan Community Workshop on Thursday (6:00 - 7:30 PM), and stop by our Hometown Fair booth on Saturday and Sunday. 

Coffee with a Cop
Questions, comments, concerns, or maybe you just want a cup of coffee to start your day? Meet members of MBPD on Wednesday, October 3, from 7:30 - 10:00 AM at McDonald’s located at 1203 Artesia Blvd. for "National Coffee with a Cop Day."

Representatives from various divisions including police officers, traffic officers and detectives will be available for folks to interact one-on-one with. The goal of the event is to provide the Manhattan Beach community with the opportunity to have personal conversations with members of their police department, over a cup of coffee. There are no reservations needed, as Coffee with a Cop is designed to be a casual, “walk-in” format.

Strategic Plan Community Workshop
The Manhattan Beach Police Department is seeking community involvement in the development of a new Strategic Plan for 2019-2020. The Strategic Plan will serve as a road map for the next two years to guide the Police Department in our delivery of service to the community of Manhattan Beach. Community involvement is essential to the process, as it ensures the Strategic Plan and police services are responsive to our community’s needs.

The Police Department will host a workshop on Thursday, October 4, 2018, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM where we will update community members on the progress of our current Strategic Plan (expires December 31, 2018) and gather input regarding the new one.  If you are not able to attend the workshop and would like to provide input, please email comments to our Strategic Plan coordinator.

The workshop will take place in the Community Room of the Police Station located at 420 15th Street.

Come Visit Our Booth at Hometown Fair
At Hometown Fair, the Manhattan Beach Police Department will have a booth with information about upcoming events and department programs.  Booth is located on Valley Drive near the Post Office. Please stop by and ask us questions, share concerns, or just say hello.
