Synopsis: The victim, a 9 year old female and her 16 year old sister were riding a Bird Scooter (dock-less electric scooter), Eastbound on the South sidewalk 4200 Dwight St. The 9 year old was closest to the handlebars and the 16 year old was behind her. The 16 year old fell off of the scooter causing the 9 year old to lose control and striking a tree. The victim suffered a fractured femur and was transported to the hospital by medics. Traffic Division responded to the incident and are investigating.
