Shooting at 570 Hardage Farm Drive
Marietta Police Officers were dispatched to 570 Hardage Farm Drive at 4:31 this afternoon. The caller told 911 dispatchers that he had just entered his home and found his father had been shot and appeared deceased.
Officers arrived and discovered one adult male deceased inside the home. The victim has been identified as fifty-nine-year-old Douglas Wayne Attaway. The 911 caller has been identified as twenty-four-year-old Daniel Walden Attaway.
Detectives are beginning their investigation and no other information is available at this time. The Marietta Police Department would like to reassure local residents that initial indications suggest this was an isolated incident and there is no reason for concern.
