On 09/27/2018, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s West County Street Narcotics Team, assisted by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Special Crimes Unit, concluded a two month long narcotic investigation into Manuel Meza, who was involved in the sales of methamphetamine and heroin to residents of Ventura County. Meza is a resident of Los Angeles County.
On 9/27/2018, Detectives detained Meza during a vehicle traffic stop as he drove his vehicle through the city of Thousand Oaks. A search of Meza’s car pursuant to a signed narcotic search warrant, revealed over two pounds of methamphetamine and two ounces of heroin which were located in an elaborate hidden compartment within the vehicle.
Detectives then executed a search warrant at Meza’s residence located in the 20400 block of Saticoy Street in the city of Winnetka, where an additional two pounds of methamphetamine, a large sum of US Currency deemed to be proceeds of narcotics sales, and paraphernalia indicative of illegal narcotic sales were seized.
Meza was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail on numerous narcotic violations. His bail was set at $100,000. He is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on 10/01/2018.
