Help us make a difference afterschool!  Sign up today to be a volunteer at the PAL (Police Activities League) Center and help us make afterschool meaningful for local teens!
 
The PAL Student Council will host a drop-in volunteer orientation on Friday, October 5 any time between 6pm and 8pm.  Join us for a short introduction of the PAL Program and its mission, an overview of the different types of volunteers currently being recruited, and receive an insider peak from members about how to be an outstanding volunteer!
 
Current volunteer needs include:

Makeup Instructors Evenings 6pm-9pm
Salsa Dance Instructors Friday Evenings 6pm -9pm
Fitness Trainers (to supervise cardio and weight room) Evenings 6pm-9pm
Craft Instructors Evenings 6pm -9pm

 
There is a short applicant process (including fingerprinting) required for any adult wanting to volunteer at the center.  All costs are paid for by the PAL program and the process generally takes about 15- 20 minutes per applicant.  All volunteers must agree to become mandated reporters and pass a local background check administered by the Fairfield Police Department. 
 
The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis Students enrolled in grades seven through twelve. Membership is $10 per year and can be purchased at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Kentucky Street) Mon-Thursday between 11:30-5:30pm. The PAL Center is located at 2195 Union Ave in Fairfield.
 
The Fairfield PAL program offers Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis teens a place to grow, learn, and build the skills they need today and in the future. The PAL Center offers teens a safe environment, supports working families and helps students achieve by giving them opportunities right now.
