Flood Warning until 02:45AM Friday

The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has extended the

* Flood Warning for... Randolph County in northeastern West Virginia... Pocahontas County in northeastern West Virginia... Taylor County in northern West Virginia... Barbour County in northeastern West Virginia...

* Until 245 AM EDT.

* At 1226 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that runoff from previous rain was continuing across the area. This will continue to cause flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Elkins, Grafton, Philippi, Marlinton, Audra State Park, Greenbank, Cass Scenic Railroad, Belington, Mill Creek, Snowshoe, Dailey, Mingo, Beverly, Junior, Flemington, Durbin, Hillsboro, Womelsdorf (Coalton), Huttonsville and Montrose.

* AFFECTED AREAS: POCAHONTAS, WV ... BARBOUR, WV ... TAYLOR, WV ... RANDOLPH, WV

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely. A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
