...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT The Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of north central Maryland, Virginia, and West
Virginia, including the following areas, in north central
Maryland, Frederick MD and Washington. In Virginia, Augusta,
Clarke, Frederick VA, Northern Fauquier, Northern Virginia
Blue Ridge, Page, Rappahannock, Rockingham, Shenandoah,
Warren, and Western Loudoun. In West Virginia, Berkeley,
Eastern Grant, Eastern Mineral, Eastern Pendleton, Hampshire,
Hardy, Jefferson, Morgan, Western Grant, and Western Mineral.
* Through late tonight
* A soaking moderate to at times heavy rain is expected this
afternoon into tonight. Amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected.
Due to the saturated ground, this may result in flooding.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
