Traffic stop leads to the arrest of Indianapolis man.
On September 27th, 2018 at approximately 2:43 a.m. Gibson County Sgt. John Fischer and Officer Thomas Rohl with the Oakland City Police Department were on the side of Interstate 69 with their emergency lights activated. Both officers were just finishing up a traffic stop when a 2018 Fleet Van drove past without changing lanes, which is required by law. Sgt. John Fischer caught up to the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Sgt. Fischer identified the driver as Jarvere Watson, age 31, of Indianapolis. Sgt. Fischer ran a license check on Mr. Watson and found that he was operating the vehicle on a license that is suspended with a prior. Upon further investigation it was found that Mr. Watson had an outstanding warrant out of Gibson County for unpaid child support. Mr. Watson was transported by Sgt. Fischer to the Gibson County Jail and charged with operating a vehicle while suspended prior and held for the warrant.
