Flood damage

⚠️⚠️⚠️FLOOD DAMAGE⚠️⚠️⚠️
Flood Damage to Residences or Businesses from the September 22, 2018 Storm: As many of you are aware, the City of Red Oak and surrounding areas experienced a significant amount of rain this past weekend. There were numerous structures both residential and commercial businesses that were impacted by the amount of rain received in a short period of time. The City of Red Oak and staff have been working diligently since the storms to identify the locations within the City that experienced flooding issues. If you or someone you know within Red Oak had any type of damage due to the water entering structures, please let us know via the email listed below.

The City of Red Oak along with Ellis County is asking for State/Federal assistance to assist homeowners and business owners with the cost. In order to obtain State/Federal assistance Ellis County as a whole has to meet a certain damage threshold. When the threshold is met, Ellis County and the citizens may be eligible for assistance. In order to document damaged structures we need to gather specific information using an application that captures GIS data for the location of the structure and take a few exterior photos. Again, if you or someone you know had damage from water entering a structure, please send an email that includes the address for the location affected, contact name and phone number, and approximately how many inches of water was within the structure, to one of the following: Scott Williams (Red Oak Public Works Director) [email protected]; Jared Binford (Red Oak Public Works Program Director) [email protected] or Johnny Bray (Red Oak Building Official) [email protected].

If you do not have access to email you may call and report the damage to the City of Red Oak at (972) 576-3414. In addition, you can click on the following link for additional disaster assistance resources and contact information, this link will be updated periodically as necessary, so please check back frequently. https://www.redoaktx.org/946/Disaster-Resources
