Last week the Chevron Refinery released FCC catalyst material (dry, white powdery residue) into the air. Some of this material may have settled on your vehicle or property. The relatively large particles can cause temporary irritation of the eyes, nose, and mouth while they are airborne. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health recommends you take advantage of Chevron’s offer to professionally clean vehicles and impacted properties.
