Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a man in Brentwood this afternoon.
Luis Gonzalez Escobar was traveling eastbound in a 2007 Scion on Express Drive South near Brentwood Parkway when he lost control of his vehicle, struck a utility pole and overturned at approximately 2:45 p.m.
Gonzalez Escobar, 22, of Medford was transported by Brentwood Legion Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
