Flood Warning until 12:00PM
At 936 AM CDT...Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rainfall had come to an end, but runoff from the overnight deluge will continue. This will cause significant flooding of creeks and streams. Some low water crossings may be impassable. White Rock Creek at Greenville reached a record level this morning, resulting in flooding to adjacent streets. This includes the intersection of Northwest Highway and West Lawther Drive. The creek has reached its crest and is now receding. Rowlett Creek is also out of its banks, resulting in some street closures, though it too is receding. This is impacting multiple jurisdictions, including Sachse, Garland, and Rowlett. At their peak, the floodwaters matched those from May and June of 2015. High water was also reported on roads near Joe Pool Lake and Mountain Creek Lake. In Tarrant County, flooding is occurring along Walnut Creek in Mansfield. Dozens of homes in Everman were flooded earlier this morning.
* AFFECTED AREAS: TARRANT, TX ... DALLAS, TX
