Narrative:
 
 
On 09/17/18, a Thousand Oaks Patrol Deputy responded to the offices of Alliant Insurance Services for a report of a commercial burglary.  The suspect(s) gained access to the building by prying open the roof access.  The suspect(s) then pried open the office doors and stole electronics and personal identification information from several of the employees.
 
On 09/19/2018, at approximately 0815 hours, deputies from the Directed Enforcement Unit conducted a proactive probation search at the residence of Fernando Molina and Nicole Baker.  During the course of the search, deputies located several items of stolen property.  Baker was in possession of stolen property as well as personal information indicative of identity theft.  The Deputies were able to associate the stolen items to the commercial burglary.  Members of the Directed Enforcement Unit contacted Detectives with the Thousand Oaks Police department to conduct a joint investigation.
 
Detectives with the Thousand Oaks Police Department were able to use the evidence collected by the Directed Enforcement Unit to place Molina at the scene of the burglary.
 
During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that Molina stole credit cards during the burglary and used them throughout the city of Thousand Oaks. 
 
Molina was booked into the East Valley Jail for burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of stolen property, identity theft, and various drug related charges.  He remains in custody of the Sheriff’s Department with a combined bail of $160,000.00
 
Baker was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for receiving stolen property, identity theft, and various drug related charges.  She remains in custody of the Sheriff’s Department with a bail of $30,000.00
 
The Directed Enforcement Unit is made up of members of the Thousand Oaks Police Department.  The mission of the unit is to conduct proactive policing utilizing intelligence led policing methods to reduce crime within the city of Thousand Oaks.
