                Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Michelle Lee Cox, 30, of 62 Lewis Drive in Marion, with contributing to the delinquency or neglect of a child.
                Cox was also served with two outstanding warrants for misdemeanor larceny and driving while license revoked.
                She is the mother of the 8-year-old male victim. An investigation began after the Sheriff’s Office received word of possible neglect in the home. Brown said Cox knew her son had a headful of lice and didn’t treat it.
