Narrative:
On August 31, 2018, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to T-Mobile, located at 3900 East Thousand Oaks Boulevard Unit 104, regarding a robbery that just occurred.  Sheriff’s deputies determined three juvenile suspects entered the business and removed eight cellular phones from the display cases by forcefully removing them from the security cables.  They threatened a store employee who tried to intervene, and left the store with the cellular phones, which had an estimated value of approximately $6200.  A witness saw the suspects leave the store and enter a vehicle, which drove away from the location.  The witness assisted deputies in locating the vehicle in Calabasas, where deputies arrested a 12 year old male suspect (S-2) for the robbery and a 15 year old female suspect (S-1) for witness intimidation, a violation of Penal Code Section 136.1.  Both juveniles were booked into Ventura County Juvenile Hall for the listed offenses.

Detectives with the Thousand Oaks Special Enforcement Unit conducted an investigation into the crime, and were able to identify one of the outstanding suspects as a 16 year old male juvenile (S-3) from Los Angeles.  During the course of their investigation, detectives learned these juveniles were suspected of committing similar crimes in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.  Detectives also learned that the previously mentioned 15 year-old female juvenile (S-1) was a suspect in a similar crime that occurred in February in the City of Oxnard, during which pepper spray was used in the course of the robbery.

On September 19, 2018, SEU detectives collaborated with the Los Angeles Police Department to locate and arrest the outstanding 16 year old juvenile suspect (S-3) in the 9100 block of South Fir Avenue in the City of Los Angeles.  He was arrested for the robbery and two outstanding warrants from Orange County.  Detectives also contacted the same female juvenile (S-1) and arrested her for her involvement in the Oxnard robbery.  Detectives also contacted a 16 year old female juvenile (S-5) at the same location, who was determined to also be involved in the February Oxnard robbery.  She was also arrested, and all three juveniles were booked into the Ventura County Juvenile Hall.

The investigation into the identity of the fourth suspect (S-4) involved in the T-Mobile robbery is ongoing.
