On Thursday, September 20th at approximately 8:55AM Pomona Police Officers were dispatched to Pomona High School. On arrival, Officers located a deceased, male adult, Pomona resident on the bleachers near the football field. A weapon was found near the scene. The incident is believed to have occurred prior to school hours.
Preliminary evidence suggests this was a suicide and at this time, there are no signs of foul-play. Pomona Police are not actively searching for any persons of interest.
Pomona Police Detectives and the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office are on-scene and the investigation remains on-going.
