Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Location: Mayellen Avenue and Scott Street, San Jose

Commercial Burglary
Location: 2000 Block of El Camino Real

Officers were dispatched to a business on the 2000 block of El Camino Real to investigate an audible alarm.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered a glass door at the front of the business had been smashed and numerous items appeared to be missing.
Through investigation, officers responded to the 2800 block of Augustine Drive to contact the suspects. A high-risk traffic enforcement stop was initiated and both male suspects were taken into custody without incident. The stolen merchandise was recovered. The suspects were transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Petty Theft
Location: 2100 Block of Valencia Place

At approximately 0331 hours, a mail theft occurred in a residential community on the 2100 block of Valencia Place. The community has a central location for mail delivery.
Video surveillance footage shows one female suspect access the mailboxes with a set of keys while another suspect drove the get-away vehicle. The suspects stole all of the mail from three out of the four mailboxes before fleeing from the scene. The suspects remain unknown and at large.

Theft from a Vehicle
Location: 3400 Block of El Camino Real

Public Safety Dispatchers received a call from a reporting party regarding a theft from a vehicle on the 3400 block of El Camino Real.
The victim parked and locked a vehicle in the parking lot at 2000 hours. Upon return at 2215 hours, the rear window was smashed and a backpack, cell phone and passport were stolen, valued at $1,600.
The officer noted five (5) additional vehicles broken into at the same location. The suspect is unknown and outstanding.

Drug Possession
Location: N. Cypress Avenue and Pruneridge Avenue

An officer observed a vehicle with a non-functioning running light nearly collide with a light pole at the intersection of San Tomas Expressway and Pruneridge Avenue.
The officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop. A male driver and female passenger occupied the vehicle. A Records check revealed both occupants were on formal, searchable probation. A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The female suspect claimed ownership of the items and was arrested.

Commercial Burglary
Location: 2900 Block of Stender Way

Sometime between 5/22/18 and 9/12/18, at around 1000 hours, a commercial burglary occurred on the 2900 block of Stender Way. Unknown suspects stole approximately $394,000 in inventory. The suspect(s) are unknown and at large.

Fraud
Location: 3600 Block of Buckley Street

An unknown suspect contacted a resident on the 3600 block of Buckley Street via telephone.
The suspect pretended to be a representative from the Internal Revenue Service and told the victim there was an error on a tax return and $4,000 was owed. The suspect requested the amount due be paid in Target gift cards. The victim purchased the gift cards and provided the suspect with the serial number and access code for each.
The suspect remains at large.

Disturbing the Peace
Location: 500 Block of Washington Street

Public Safety Dispatchers received a call for service regarding a party on the 500 block of Washington Street with minors present drinking alcoholic beverages.
Upon arrival, officers observed approximately 80 individuals inside and an estimated 50 people outside. Amplified music was being played and minors were in possession of alcohol. The party was shut down.

NOTE: Heavy traffic and delays took place around Santa Clara University on September 15-16, as a result of student move-in. In addition, the Santa Clara Art and Wine Festival generated heavy traffic around Central Park over the weekend.
