Gregg Salvador of Cudahy arrested for assault w/ a deadly weapon after cutting victim on the left cheek and shoulder

LOCATION: 7900 block of Deer Trail, Yucca Valley
SUSPECT(S): Gregg Salvador, age 23 a resident of Cudahy
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On September 17, 2018, at approximately 1:04 am, Deputy R. Alfaro responded to the 7900 block of Deer Trail in the town of Yucca Valley reference an assault with a deadly weapon call. The witness was inside of the residence with Gregg Salvador when they began to argue. Salvador walked outside of the residence and brandished a knife. The victim intervened and was cut in the left cheek and left shoulder blade by Salvador. Salvador fled the scene in a vehicle and was eventually apprehended by CHP in Joshua Tree. The knife used at the crime scene was located inside of the suspect vehicle. The victim sustained a lacerations to her left shoulder, left cheek and was transported to Hi-Desert Medical Center for her injuries.
Salvador was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. He is being held on a $50,000.00 bail.
