Flood Warning until 09:45AM

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a

* Flood Warning for Small Streams in... Otsego County in central New York... Chenango County in central New York...

* Until 945 AM EDT.

* At 751 AM EDT, Emergency management and the public have reported flooding of poor drainage and small streams in the warning area. Earlier, radar and rain gauge reports indicated areas of 3 to 4 inches of rainfall across the warned area. Rain had ended at this time, but water will continue to runoff into small streams, creeks and the main stem rivers. Flooding will still be likely for the next couple hours until water recedes. This flood warning replaces the previously issued Flash Flood Warning.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Oneonta, Norwich, Sidney, Guilford, Worcester, Middlefield, Hartwick, Maryland, Cooperstown and Westville.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CHENANGO, NY ... OTSEGO, NY

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
