Last night at approximately 6:05 p.m., Sheriff's Office deputies responded to Blazing Star Lane, Hilton Head Island to a report of shots fired with two gunshot victims. When deputies arrived, the two adult male gunshot victims—one shot in the torso and the other in the hand—were located and transported to medical facilities.

At the scene, deputies learned that prior to their arrival, the subject or subjects responsible for the shooting had fled. No physical description of the subject or subjects was available, but witnesses reported seeing a silver sedan with a rear spoiler leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.

As of this morning, both wounded men were listed in stable condition: one at Savannah Memorial and the other at the Medical University of South Carolina.   

It is not known whether the subject or subject(s) responsible for the shooting were inside of the silver sedan that witnesses observed speeding away, but the driver and its occupants are believed to have witnessed the shooting and Sheriff's Office investigators would like to identify and interview them.
