The public's help is needed in identifying the suspects involved in a strong armed robbery and an armed robbery

DATE/TIME: September 15, 2018, 4:06 pm/ September 16, 2018, 1:53 pm

INCIDENT: Armed Robbery / Strong Arm Robbery

LOCATION: 12000 Block Navajo Rd.

SUSPECT(S): Unknown White Male, Unknown Black Male


SUMMARY:
On September 15, 2018, at approximately 4:06 pm, deputies from the Apple Valley station responded to the 21000 block of Bear Valley Rd. for a report of an armed robbery. Deputies arrived and contacted the victim who said he was selling an Apple I-Phone X on the "Offer Up" website. A person who identified himself as Mike Willis, contacted the victim and arranged to meet in the parking lot of Six Beans Coffee Company 21788 Bear Valley Rd.

The victim met an unidentified white male subject in the parking lot and discussed the purchase of the phone. The victim handed the white male the phone. A black male appeared from behind a dumpster, pointed a handgun at the victim, and told the victim not to follow them. Both suspects fled on foot toward the 12000 block of Navajo Rd.

On September 16, 2018, at approximately 1:53 pm, deputies from the Apple Valley station responded to the 12000 block of Navajo Rd. for a report of a strong arm robbery. Deputies arrived and contacted the victim who said he listed his Apple watch on the “Let Go” website. The victim arranged to meet with a subject who identified himself as David Lopez on the 12000 block of Navajo Rd.

When the victim and his wife arrived they were met by a black male subject who approached them, forcefully grabbed the Apple watch out of the victim’s hands. The black male told the victim and his wife not to follow him and fled on foot north on Navajo Rd.

The public is encouraged to use caution when arranging to meet an unknown person to sell any items listed on Craigslist, Offer Up, Let Go or similar websites.
