The Denville Police Department is investigating reports of motor vehicle burglaries that occurred overnight in and around the Manor Road area of the Township. The burglaries are believed to have occurred sometime between 1am and 3am.

Any residents in the area who have home video surveillance systems are asked to review their footage for any sign of suspicious activity overnight, especially during the above time frame. If you locate any video that may be related to this incident, please contact the Denville Police at 973-627-4900 ext. 9. An officer will respond to view the video and may request to obtain a copy for investigative purposes. As a reminder, you can help us investigate similar incidents by registering your home surveillance system through our Virtual Crime Watch program. Lastly, please remember your #9pmroutine and ensure that your vehicles and homes are locked each night before going to bed. In addition, any valuables should be removed from your vehicle or at least hidden out of sight. This includes handheld electronics, credit cards and loose change. You should never leave any pocketbooks, wallets or keys in the vehicle. By performing the #9pmroutine every night, you greatly reduce your chances of becoming a victim.
