A car crashed into a utility pole and traffic light on Route 130 last night. The pole and wires remain across Route 130. The highway is closed in both directions at Route 522.
Traffic on Route 130 south is being diverted off onto Route 522. Route 130 northbound is being diverted onto Ridge Road.
There are heavy delays all around the Dayton and Monmouth Junction sections of the Township including Georges Road, Ridge Road, and Fresh Ponds Road. Delays are expected to build throughout the morning rush hour.
Use Route 1 or the NJ Turnpike as an alternate route.
