Incident Summary:
 
On Thursday, September 13, 2018 at approximately 9:07 am, Petaluma Police Officers were dispatched to an address on Vallejo Street on a report of a battery.   The victim reported Robert James McEntee came to his residence and knocked on his door.  The victim who is an acquaintance of McEntee’s opened the door and exited his residence.  McEntee then attacked the victim.  The victim stated McEntee punched him repeatedly in the face causing him to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.  The victim stated McEntee continued to kick him while he was on the ground.  The victim was evaluated by paramedics at the scene but refused further treatment.  The motive for the attack is unknown.
 
McEntee was later located at the Mark Isaak Center.  He was questioned regarding the incident and ultimately arrested for 243(d) PC; Battery with Serious Bodily Injury.  He was transported and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
