On September 11th, a resident reported that he received a telephone call from a subject who stated that he was associated with Upper Macungie Township. The subject stated that he was seeking a monetary donation for the township and that he would mail the resident a form to complete in order to make the donation.
Upper Macungie Township is not soliciting donations from residents. If you or a family member receives a phone call similar to this, please contact the UMTPD at 484-661-5911 and make a police report. Please advise the officer of the date and time of the call received, as well as the phone number (the number displayed by your caller ID).
