NHC's Projected path of Hurricane Florence 8:00 a.m. No Sheriff's Office press conference scheduled as of yet. 
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) released its a 8:00 a.m. update on the projected path of Hurricane Florence. The NHC advises that Hurricane Florence is moving northwest at 12 miles per hour with maximum sustained winds of 110 miles per hour. As of this time, Sheriff P.J. Tanner has not scheduled a press conference for today. Should a press conference be scheduled, you will be advised in advance and provided with links to watch it through Sheriff's Office Facebook Live, the County Channel and YouTube. In addition, when press conferences are held, media—newspaper, television and radio—are asked to attend and broadcast.
