Palmdale Station Traffic Investigators are investigating the circumstances of a motor vehicle vs pedestrian collision at the intersection of Palmdale Blvd and 12th Street East, City of Palmdale, on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at approximately 11:24 AM.
Preliminary information gathered at the scene indicates a silver 2014 Audi driven by a male in his 20’s was traveling westbound on Palmdale Blvd collided with a pedestrian mid-block between 12th and 15th St. East.
The pedestrian (Male adult) was standing near the driver’s side of his parked vehicle when the 2014 Audi collided with him. The pedestrian had major head and body trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Audi did not sustain any injuries.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
It is not known at this time if drugs or alcohol is a factor and is still under investigation.
