Beaufort County public schools and Beaufort County government offices will be open tomorrow and, as of this time, no decision on evacuation has been made. Please remain vigilant as this dangerous storm—Hurricane Florence—continues to approach the coast. The next Sheriff's Office advisory on Hurricane Florence will be tomorrow morning.

Please continue to follow official sources for information on Hurricane Florence and avoid misinformation spread through social media. 

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) releases new tropical cyclone advisories at 5:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. each day. We encourage you to visit the NHC's website  https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ for those advisories.
