Original 9/8/18:
On 9/7/18 at around 6:30 p.m., an intoxicated unknown Native male approached a group of female juvelines on the playground of Kasuun Elementary (4000 E 68th Avenue). The adult male further approached one of the girls and proceeded to grab and pull her arm. When the group of girls began to scream, the suspect released the girl's arm and fled into a nearby wooded area on foot. There were no injuries.

The suspect has been described as a Native male with short black hair and a goatee. He appears to be in his 30s to 40s. He was last seen wearing a neon yellow zip-up jacket over a red t-shirt with a blue circle on it, blue jeans, black shoes, a 'football team' ballcap, and a black backpack.

Police are investigating this reported incident as an attempted kidnapping and are asking the community to be vigilant and contact APD Dispatch at 3-1-1 if they see a person matching the suspect description. Anyone who may have information about the suspect's identity and anyone who was in the Kasuun Elementary area at the time of the incident is also advised to contact non-emergency Dispatch at 3-1-1.
