The National Weather Service in Sterling Va has issued a
* Flood Warning for
The Opequon Creek near Martinsburg.
* From late tonight until Tuesday afternoon.
* At 12 PM Sunday the stage was 6.1 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by overnight tonight and crest
near 11.0 feet by mid-afternoon tomorrow. The river will fall below
flood stage by late Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet...Water begins to cover backyards of homes on
Bowers Road (County Road 1/1). Douglas Grove Road (County Road
9/16) is flooded and impassible. Water also approaches Golf Course
Road (County Road 36) and Grapevine Road (County Road 9/14).
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.0 feet
on Jun 3 2018.
