Two Men Arrested in SLA Inspection
Suffolk County Police last night arrested two men after conducting a State Liquor Authority (SLA) inspection in Copiague.
The First Precinct Crime Section in conjunction with the Town of Babylon Task Force conducted a SLA Inspection at the Copiague Deli, located at 1985A Great Neck Rd., Copiague on September 8 at approximately 9:34 p.m.
The store owner, Jose Cisneros, 37, of Amityville, was arrested and charged with the NYS Tax Law for selling unlawfully stamped cigarettes, Promoting Gambling 2nd Degree and Possession of Gambling Records 2nd Degree. The store manager, Saul Cisneros, 25 of North Amityville, was arrested for several ABC Law violations, Promoting Gambling 2nd Degree and Possession of Gambling Records 2nd Degree.
The two men are being held overnight at the First Precinct and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip in the morning.
The Town of Babylon Quality of Life Task Force issued a combined 20 Fire, Building, and Code violations and subsequently condemned and closed the establishment.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
